My Search Profile

Guide

Use WorkZipper as your remote job search cockpit.

Set your profile once, choose the sources worth searching, then work the job queue from highest match to lowest. WorkZipper keeps the organizing layer here while the original job pages stay one click away.

1. Build Your Search Profile

  1. Add target roles, skills, keywords, locations, minimum pay, job types, and contract length.
  2. Choose the countries and states you are willing to work in.
  3. Turn on clearance mode if clearance roles are relevant.
  4. Upload or paste resume/profile text if you want keyword suggestions.

2. Choose Job Sources

  1. Use profile source groups to enable boards that match your field.
  2. Free accounts search the top default sources.
  3. More sources means broader coverage, but searches can take longer.
  4. Click a source name in profile to inspect that site directly.

3. Work The Jobs Page

  1. Use the top filters for title/company text, job site, minimum pay, match score, and remote confidence.
  2. Review score, pay, remote signal, source, and summary before opening a job.
  3. Use Open selected to open selected jobs in tabs. Large batches will warn first.
  4. Use Applied only after you apply or intentionally mark it as applied.

4. Decline And Teach The System

  1. Select one job or a page of jobs, then choose the most accurate decline reason.
  2. Use Not Remote, Not US / Location, Low Pay, Wrong Role, Wrong Seniority, Under Qualified, Over Qualified, or Skip.
  3. Decline reasons help WorkZipper learn what to push down or filter out.
  4. After a bulk decline, use Undo last bulk action if you made a mistake.

5. Recover Mistakes

  1. Declined and submitted cards include a Restore button.
  2. On Declined or Submitted tabs, select multiple jobs and use Restore selected.
  3. Restored jobs return to Pending for your profile.
  4. Page selection only selects the current page, not every job in the system.

6. Recruiters

  1. Recruiters are for paid tiers and serious outreach workflows.
  2. Add recruiter names, agency/company details, websites, job boards, and contact status.
  3. Use profile and resume information to prepare better outreach drafts.
  4. Track who you contacted and who replied without mixing it into the job queue.
Best daily flow: update your profile, search jobs, filter down to strong matches, open selected jobs, mark applied when done, then decline the bad fits with clear reasons.
